Overview
The 3rd International Conference on ICT Application Research (IAR2025) marks the third international gathering organized by the International ICT Application Research Society (IIARS), a Japan-based organization dedicated to advancing research on applications on Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
ICT is one of the most transformative forces shaping the modern world.
It is the backbone of the digital economy, a catalyst for innovation in education, healthcare, and governance, and a critical enabler of scientific and technological progress. From artificial intelligence and big data to smart cities and sustainable development, ICT drives solutions to some of the world’s most pressing challenges. In an era defined by rapid technological change and global interconnectedness, the need for interdisciplinary research on ICT applications has never been more urgent.
One notable feature of IIARS is the wide range of research areas covered.
Our researchers study not only ICT itself, but all fields of study that use ICT, ranging from science and engineering to the social sciences.
International conferences such as IAR 2025 play a vital role in this ecosystem. They provide a platform for scholars, researchers, and industry professionals to come together, share knowledge, forge collaborations, and set new directions for future research.
These events facilitate the cross-pollination of ideas across disciplines and geographies, contributing to the development of inclusive, forward-looking ICT solutions that benefit society at large.
The International ICT Application Research Society (IIARS) was September 2016 to foster such exchange and collaboration. One of the hallmarks of IIARS is its interdisciplinary reach.
The Society supports research not only on ICT itself but also on its applications across a wide spectrum of fields—from science, technology, and engineering to the humanities and social sciences.
Since its founding, IIARS has organized eight annual conferences, fourteen specialized workshops, and published seven journals. Building on the momentum of the successful 2nd International Conference on ICT Application Research (IAR 2024), the IIARS Board has resolved to host IAR 2025, continuing its commitment to promoting cutting-edge ICT research.
IAR 2025 will be held as a hybrid conference, combining the benefits of in-person engagement with the flexibility of virtual participation.
Recognizing that some delegates may face travel constraints, the conference offers both in-person and remote options for presenters and participants.
To ensure equity and accessibility, the registration fee will be the same for both in-person and virtual attendees. While remote participants may miss the informal networking opportunities provided by shared meals and coffee breaks, they are spared the logistical and financial burdens of travel.
In-person attendees, meanwhile, will benefit from partial subsidies for meals and refreshments.
The organizing committee believes this balanced approach reflects both fairness and inclusivity.
Participants may choose their mode of attendance—virtual or in-person—at the time of registration and may revise this choice at any time prior to the conference.
We warmly invite you to join us at IAR 2025, where ideas converge, and connections are made.
