Event 1:
Competitive Karuta using Hyakunin Isshu
Competitive Karuta (Kyogi-Karuta, "競技かるた") using Hyakunin Isshu ("百人一首") is between two players, who sit on a tatami floor facing each other. First they bow and say “Yoroshiku onegaishimasu”. The Karuta game begins with a bow, and finishes with a bow, like a Judo match. Politeness is very important.

Event 2:
Try-on Hakama
Hakama ("袴") are a type of traditional Japanese clothing.
A paort of Competitive Karuta players wear Hakama.
In this event, attendees can try on Hakama and take a commemorative photograph.
