Overview
The 5th International Conference on ICT Application Research (IAR 2026) is an international conference organized by the International ICT Application Research Society (IIARS).
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) serves as a bridge connecting people, products, and information. As new ideas, technologies, and applications continue to emerge at an unprecedented pace, the importance of ICT in shaping contemporary society continues to grow. Established on 18 September 2016, IIARS is dedicated to promoting research on ICT applications and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration among researchers and practitioners.
One of the distinctive features of IIARS is the breadth of research areas represented within the Society. Its members conduct research not only on ICT itself, but also on a wide range of disciplines that utilize ICT, including the natural sciences, engineering, social sciences, humanities, business, education, and other fields.
Since its establishment, IIARS has organized eight annual conferences and fourteen workshops, and has published seven academic journals. Building on the success of previous conferences, including the 4th International Conference on ICT Application Research (IAR 2026 Winter), the IIARS Board has approved the organization of IAR 2026.
IAR 2026 will be held in a hybrid format, allowing participants to attend either in person in Kochi, Japan, or remotely. The Organizing Committee recognizes that some participants may face constraints that prevent international travel. To ensure broad participation and accessibility, options for virtual presentation and attendance will be available.
Registration fees will be the same for virtual and in-person participants. Authors and attendees may choose their preferred mode of participation and may change it at any time prior to the conference.
